..among the false pretentious phenomenon plaguing the Church we have one Maria Divine MErcy..
HERETIC EXCOMMUNICATED LATAE SENTENTIAE
..apparently through her sorcery she has received a communique from heaven?? which calls for her to have minted and distributed among the faithful without CHurch approbation a talisman which ensures eternal salvation....
THE MEDAL OF SALVATION ???
..more aptly this talisman should be described as the MEDAL OF SLAVATION since believing in its occult powers would make one a slave to the outer-darkness ...
..this outer-darkness is such called since it is the darkness not of faith which John of Cross speaks of which darkness is a light to the natural reason which comes from a divine height (THE CHURCH) and so it is dark to the human intellect..but this outer-darkness is the darkness of ignorance which is the result of conceit and pride whose author is the Devil himself who has deceived himself and so only knows deceit..and so he works on the periphery of the Church or the sheepfold..prowling like a hungry wolf in the outer dark shadows...outside the norms and precepts of Mother Church...since his will is obdurately bent upon the destruction of the faithful....by leading them into the outer darkness
...now anyone with a rudimentary instruction in theology or the Catholic Faith would know through the gift of wise counsel that ANY Sacramental in order for it to have any efficacy in conferring grace needs to be authorized by the CHurch first and foremost...
..without Church approval a sacramental is as good as a piece of tin or any other inanimate mineral..since without the Church blessing such a person would not be directed in cause to all the graces favoured upon the communion of the saints, the Church militant and the Church triumphant....and so would be just as well praying to a tree or a lamp post in hopes that God's actual grace help them be moved toward the light of reason...
also we are told by Maria Divine MErcy and her Jesus that use of this medal would indubitably save billions of souls...however this is also false since the sacramentals do not produce grace ex opere operato as the Sacraments do..and so no Sacramental can confer Sanctyfing grace which is necessary for Salvation...
we see from the Catholic Encyclopedia concerning Sacramentals
Another distinction classifies sacramentals according to whether they are acts, e.g. the Confiteor mentioned above, or things, such as medals, holy water etc. The sacramentals do not produce sanctifying grace ex opere operato, by virtue of the rite or substance employed, and this constitutes their essential difference from the sacraments. The Church is unable to increase or reduce the number of sacraments as they were instituted by Christ, but the sacramentals do not possess this dignity and privilege. Theologians do not agree as to whether the sacramentals may confer any other grace ex opere operantis through the action of the one who uses them, but the negative opinion is more generally followed, for as the Church cannot confer sanctifying grace nor institute signs thereof, neither can she institute efficacious signs of the other graces which God alone can give. Moreover, as experience teaches, the sacramentals do not infallibly produce their effect. Finally in the euchologic formulas of the sacramentals the Church makes use, not of affirmative, but of deprecatory expressions, which shows that she looks directly to Divine mercy for the effect.

..now it is evident that billionis of souls cannot be saved iressistably without fail since Sacramentals do not infallibly produce their effect...Sacramentals can only produce a sort of iinspirational grace or help to cultivate a habitual grace...
..and so only through the power of God can people be converted..Sacramentals in and of themselves have no power....and so work based on the faith of the user...in order for a Sacramental to work the person using it must already have faith.. and it is this faith which heals as we are told in scripture...
And he said to the woman: Thy faith hath made thee safe, go in peace.

..as we know faith is an interior gift whereby God through a supernatural help raises man up from a natural state...through a free choice independent of external coercion or internal necessity...this is not to say Man alone can warrant it or that he has some power which thwarts the predestination of the elect..however it is God who helps to butress the will and enlighten the intellect in order that it may choose freely and wisely of its own accord....
..also if one consults the Catechism of the Catholic CHurch concerning Sacramentals one sees...
1676 Pastoral discernment is needed to sustain and support popular piety
and, if necessary, to purify and correct the religious sense which underlies
these devotions so that the faithful may advance in knowledge of the mystery of
Christ.182 Their exercise is subject to the care and judgment of the
bishops and to the general norms of the Church
..the exercise of Sacramentals is subject to the care of the BISHOPS who have already condemned MDM...
...we are also told by MDM and her Jesus and Mary that once a soul accepts this talisman with an open heart conversion will occur...
..of course this is impossible since all the grace necessary for Salvation emanates from the heart of Christ through the Sacraments of the CHurch..never through a piece of tin... A Sacramental cannot confer efficacious grace
..also we have the error of the SemiPelagians who claim that man is able to freely accept or reject prevenient grace..since without God we can do nothing...
..finally we have the error of Jansenism creeping in which tells us ..that in a state of fallen nature no one ever resists interior grace..which of course is impossible since we have free will..and so this talisman which MDM is selling cannot ensure the salvation of billions of souls..since this would mean it would remove the cooperative effect of humans with God and would take away the dignity afforded free will whereby a man or woman may achieve self actuality through choosing to shun temptations thus building up a bond of love with the creator freely....
..indeed there are more problems with this talisman..and they are dealt with very well at these two fine sites....
